The Parish Council serves as a consultative and advisory body that assists the Parish Priest in guiding and nurturing the overall life of the parish community. Its primary role is to offer thoughtful input and practical support on matters that influence the spiritual, liturgical, and communal well-being of the parish. One of its key responsibilities is to promote and sustain the spiritual growth of the faithful. This is achieved through the planning and coordination of liturgical celebrations, catechetical programs, faith formation initiatives, and community-building events.
Working in close collaboration with the Parish Priest, the Parish Council plays an essential role in shaping the parish’s annual calendar. This includes the organization of sacraments, observance of feast days, and the celebration of major liturgical seasons and events, all while remaining faithful to the Syro-Malabar Rite and its rich traditions. Their work ensures that the spiritual atmosphere of the parish remains dynamic, inclusive, and rooted in a deep sense of cultural and liturgical identity.
