Cherupushpa Mission League (CML)

Cherupushpa Mission League (CML) is a lay organization for those children who wish to undertake missionary work of Jesus Christ. For children undergoing faith formation, CML offers opportunities to practice what they learn in catechism classes. The Heavenly patron for Mission League is St. Theresa of Lisieux, and the co-patrons are St. Francis Xavier and St. Alphonsa.

The primary aims of CML are: fostering the mission spirit and assisting the missionaries by means of prayer, manpower, and money; vocation promotion; and personality development. Thus, children are encouraged to do charity work through acts of service, love, renunciation, and endurance.

CML, though a well-established association with 77 years of legacy, is in its infancy stage in our parish. The inaugural ceremony of the CML Exeter unit was officially done on 12-05-2024. Initiated by a lighting ceremony led by the parish priest and delegates, student representatives took the oath on the Holy Bible, and Fr. Rajesh Aanathil gave a detailed narration on the importance and aim of forming CML in our community.

Prayer is the powerhouse of every Christian life. From the coordinators, we conducted an initial meeting and introduced the motto, aim, and working nature of CML to catechism students. We introduced the self-evaluation initiative to implant a habit of personal prayer, Bible reading, adoration, and participation in pious activities within the church. Charity works and donations from self-sacrifice were explained. To enhance the little missionaries' participation and sacrifice activities, we have offered the distribution of printed diaries according to availability.
